Nogales is a town that stretches over the US-Mexican border from Santa-Cruz county Arizona, into Sonora state Mexico. Nogales is also surrounded by the by the Coronado National Forest, an area of about 1.78 million acres spread throughout mountain ranges in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. The Mexican American border runs right through Coronado National Forest.

#103 For Digital Globe users: Map out residential areas in Kigoma Region, Tanzania

It is the Tanzania government's priority to assess and improve physical access to obstetric care in Kigoma Region. To efficiently capture the road network by which residents use for traveling to obstetric care facilities, we determine to it is crucial to first map out all the residential land-use areas. This sub-set task encompasses the northern area of the region, where the coverage of digital globe satellite imagery is generally more optimal than Bing and Mapbox .

It is a priority of Tanzanian government to improve access to obstetric care in the country’s Kigoma Region. #417 Detecting forest disturbance around the Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica.

This project aims to increase public involvement in the detection of small and large disturbances affecting humid forests around and inside the Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica. Participants will identify and delineate agricultural and urban expansion affecting humid forests occurred over the course of the most recent year (2016-2017). This information will identifying threats to the National Park and its buffer areas and help local park managers make informed decisions to promote specific conservation actions in the ground.

About the Tasking Manager

OSM Tasking Manager is a mapping tool designed and built for the Humanitarian OSM Team collaborative mapping. The purpose of the tool is to divide up a mapping job into smaller tasks that can be completed rapidly. It shows which areas need to be mapped and which areas need the mapping validated.
This approach facilitates the distribution of tasks to the various mappers in a context of emergency. It also permits to control the progress and the homogeinity of the work done (ie. Elements to cover, specific tags to use, etc.).

This version of the Tasking Manager is geared toward classroom instructors, or any other individuals leading a coordinated group in a team-mapping project.
