You will be using satellite imagery to map roads, buildings, waterways . For guideline on remote mapping please refer to this wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Nepal_remote_mapping_guide

For list of common tags used in Nepal please refer to this wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Nepal/Common_tags

For classification and tagging of roads please refer to this wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Nepal/Roads

To be efficient with mapping buildings we suggest you use JOSM with building plugin installed. Please note that most buildings in Nepal are rectangular in shape and what seems like circular huts could be haystack.
